Alba Roldán

Alba Roldan Marin, University of Alicante (2026-2029)

Alba Roldán is Associate Professor of Economic History at the University of Alicante. She received her PhD from the University of Barcelona (2015–2019), graduating with distinction and international mention, and has been a visiting researcher at the University of York and the University of Zaragoza.
Her research combines business and economic history, focusing on consumer goods industries—particularly fashion and footwear—and their competitive strategies, alongside work on fiscal and monetary history. She has published in leading journals such as Enterprise & Society and European Review of Economic History, and regularly presents at major international conferences, including the European Business History Association (EBHA).
Roldán is actively engaged in the international business history community and currently serves as Newsletter Editor of the EBHA, contributing to the Association’s communication and outreach. At the national level, she has been a Board member of the Spanish Economic History Association (AEHE) since 2021 and was awarded the Ramón Carande Prize (2019).
